Door middel van Shared Learning sessies delen wij ervaringen om zo nieuwe kansen van hergebruik te stimuleren.

Op het vaste land is GZI Next een voorbeeld hiervan. Meer informatie over GZI Next staat in het Re-use & decommissioning report 2020. 

Verder zijn er een aantal uitgeproduceerde gasvelden getransformeerd voor hergebruik als ondergrondse gasopslagfaciliteiten. Deze worden in het zomerseizoen tijdens periodes van beperkte vraag gevuld om aan de piekvraag in de winter te voldoen. Op dit moment wordt gas opgeslagen op vier ondergrondse gasopslaglocaties in lege gasvelden: Norg (1997), Grijpskerk (1997), Alkmaar (1997) en Bergermeer (2015). Samen hebben zij een opslagcapaciteit van 14 miljard kubieke meter gas.

Circa 15 Offshore platformen zijn al deels of volledig verplaatst en hergebruikt voor de ontwikkeling van nieuwe velden. Daarnaast wacht nog één platform (F3-FA) op herbestemming.
